CLeared for take-off.

Airlines for America (A4A) engaged NJI to redesign its flagship website to better support the organization’s goals and priorities. As the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted air travel, A4A needed an agile, flexible platform that could quickly adapt on the industry’s behalf. Building on a solid foundation and a wealth of content, our goal was simple: streamline and refine the website.

Website Design

the brief

A4A’s legacy website was already rich with content. To organize and highlight an extensive set of data and resources, we embarked on a robust discovery phase. Our process identified key audiences and a need to clearly convey A4A’s mission and priorities. We streamlined site navigation and established an agile content hierarchy and management system to deliver rapid-response capabilities.

Customizable templates.

We developed custom page templates and modules to position A4A for rapid-response needs. This flexible structure helps A4A prepare for the future and quickly adapt to changing landscapes.

The COVID-19 pandemic, for example, had a profound effect on the airline industry. As A4A’s priorities shifted, NJI provided real-time support for critical communication via microsites and tailored campaign pages. These were valuable opportunities to pilot and refine features for eventual deployment on the main site. Balancing short-term needs with a longer-term outlook for the final product helped NJI optimize the final site toolkit even further.

the outcome.

During extraordinary circumstances, our team maintained maximum velocity throughout the website build. A shared belief in the importance of strength and resiliency in the airline industry brought great energy to the design and development of this project. Strategic planning and a thoughtful approach resulted in an infrastructure that speaks to a bright, innovative future for A4A, equipping the organization with tools for fast development, flexibility, and responsiveness for the years ahead.

Together, we executed a seamless website launch that resulted in industry-level success and celebration—flyin’ high.
